  5. Identify Care Guidelines resources that support inpatient care management
  6. Recall Care Guidelines resources that support discharge planning

General Recovery Guidelines

Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Compare the key features of the Inpatient and Surgical Care and General Recovery Guidelines
  2. Efficiently search and access clinical content
  3. Use the Care Guidelines to determine appropriateness of admission
  4. Apply key components of the General Recovery Course to monitor inpatient progression
  5. Identify Care Guidelines' resources that support inpatient care management
  6. Recall Care Guidelines' resources that support discharge planning

Recovery Facility Care

Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Efficiently search and access clinical content
  2. Interpret the Clinical Indications for Admission to Recovery Facility
  3. Describe two levels of recovery care addressed within the guidelines
  4. Define Length of Stay
  5. Describe how to apply the Treatment Plan content

Home Care

Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Efficiently search and access clinical content
  2. Define "homebound" as it pertains to the Home Care guidelines
  3. Interpret the Clinical Indications for Admission to Home Healthcare
  4. Define Visit Goals
  5. Describe how to apply the Treatment Plan content
  6. Apply Clinical Indications for Discharge from Home Healthcare

Chronic Care Guidelines

Contact Hours – 1.5

Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Recall the five phases of the Case Management Process
  2. Interpret the Indications for Chronic Care Management
  3. Use Assessment and Care Plan content to manage chronic care patients
  4. Recall the patient education resources included in the Chronic Care Guidelines
  5. Reference the Optimum Treatment Guidelines to support outpatient managment

Behavioral Health Guidelines

Contact Hours – 1.5

Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Define the five levels of care within the Behavioral Health Guidelines
  2. Interpret the Clinical Indications for Admission for each level of care
  3. Apply key components of the Optimum Recovery Course to monitor inpatient progression
  4. Apply key component of the recovery course to monitor treatment progression at lower levels of care
  5. Define the use of the Behavioral Health Guidelines Annotated Bibliography
