Experience:
An internationally recognized authority on healthcare information systems, Dr. Beard has more than 20 years of experience in developing, managing and using health IT systems, especially clinical systems. He was Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Health Informatics and Product Marketing at a leading healthcare software company. Dr. Beard served as Chief Information Officer at an advanced medical facility in the United Kingdom, and directed the Health Research Institute for management consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is clinical assistant professor of medicine at Oregon Health and Science University and has been a lecturer at Stanford University Medical Informatics Department, University of Washington, University of California at Berkeley, National University of Singapore and Glasgow University in Scotland.
